The Tour That Changed My Life : Love On Tour
Share
If you're a fangirl and you love live music, then you know that a concert isn't just a concert. It's a lifelong memory of the happiest moment of your life.
For so many people, live music is an escape from their reality. A moment to feel joy and be surrounded by love. That is what Love On Tour was for me.
It was one of the first tours where I felt at home. I was able to create so many new friendships, amazing memories, and best of all, see my favorite singer live. When tour originally ended in 2023, I made a fan zine days later, wanting to encapsulate the tour and how united it made everyone during such hard times. I stumbled upon it recently and decided to make it a journal spread.
I wanted to take those amazing shows and smear them over my journal, like a dream of the best night of your life or when you think back to a happy memory. One of the pages in the "fan zine" was a collage I made after asking all my online mutuals to send me their favorite photos so they could feel included, in the end, that's what mattered. People feeling seen, understood, and like they meant something. I got so many messages from people and everyone wanted a spot in the zine. I tried my best to squeeze everyone in and in the end came one of the most beautiful collages that I have made. I even asked a few people on Twitter if they 'could describe Love On Tour in one word, what would it be?'
The responses I got were so heartwarming and impactful. It reminded me of why live music and community matters so much. It allows people to not feel alone, to feel seen. When creating the journal spread, I really wanted the collage to speak for itself. I decided to do minimal scrapbooking to the spread. I added a simple background design and 'Love On Tour' in big letter stickers over different colored papers. I also added a few stickers to tie it all together, but nothing crazy. This is one of my favorite spreads and now every time I open my journal, I'll remember just how much fun I had and all the memories I created on such an amazing tour.
Thank You Love On Tour.
